Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What is your turnaround time?

Standard turnaround for screen printing is at least 2 weeks. Once a down payment is processed and we have your artwork or approval on artwork we can begin production. Sometimes we can get jobs done sooner depending on our workload. For Direct-To-Garment (DTG) printing our turnaround is 5-7 business days.

For vinyl and embroidery our standard turnaround is 7-10 business days. Each department varies on workload and we do our best to communicate any issues and production updates with our customers. Let us know when you need your product and we'll let you know if the impossible is possible!

  • Do you offer Rush Services?

Rush service is available when our schedule allows. Our standard rush fee is $75. If your order is over 100 shirts the rush fee is $100 and goes up accordingly depending on order quantity.

  • What if I have my own shirts?

We are able to screen print/embroider on most garment types. For screen printing we require a minimum of 36 shirts. Prices begin at $5 per shirt, one ink color, one side print. Minimum for embroidery is 12 pieces but we can do single piece embroidery starting at $30. Digitizing and/or screen charges may apply.

  • How can I make a payment?

Once we get the sizes/quantity/amount of colors and any other fees totaled, an invoice will be sent directly to your email. With just a click of a button you're able to easily send a payment through your phone or computer. We accept all major credit/debit cards (in person or over the phone) or cash. We ask for a minimum of at least half the amount of your total for a deposit to get your order started. The rest can be paid at pick up.  ALL RUSH ORDERS MUST BE PAID IN FULL. Please have your invoice number ready at pick up.

  • I don't have artwork or a design, can you help?

Yes, we can! We have three in-house graphic designers. Two in our art department that have over 30 years experience specializing in screen printing design and branding. One in our vinyl department who specializes in stickers, banners, signs, dye sublimation and Direct-To-Garment printing.

  • I have my artwork/design ready. What's the best way to send it?

Here at Next Day Custom Tees we use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. We recommend creating your design in vector format. That way we're able to adjust the size to any dimension without it becoming "fuzzy" or "pixelated." You can email us your file as a .pdf or .ai for us to work with. Please make sure your fonts are outlined.

If you're creating your design in Photoshop, please have your resolution/dpi set to at least 300. The dimensions for your document should be no wider than 13" and 15" tall for shirt designs. These dimensions also apply to Procreate illustrations. Visit the "Help" tab in the menu for any templates needed for business cards/flyers/etc. If a size is not listed or you have any questions, email us at nextdaycustomtees@gmail.com and we can assist you!

  • Can you color match?

We offer color matching at an additional fee of $15 per color match. We stock a lot of standard screen printing ink colors and thread colors. We can usually replicate your artwork without additional costs. If you have a specific Pantone color we can definitely color match it. For specific thread colors we have a catalog in the lobby for you to view. If we do need to order a certain thread color there is a $25 fee and it normally takes 3-5 business days to come in.

Our Direct-To-Garment printer uses CMYK process. It uses cyan, magenta, yellow and black to come close to matching the colors in your design. Same goes for our large format printer for banners, signs and stickers. Please email ndctvinyl@gmail.com for any questions on DTG or vinyl printing.

We do not accept hex code numbers, only PMS numbers for screen printing. Please keep in mind colors will vary in shades when viewing your digital proof on your phone/computer screen to the actual ink on the shirt.

  • Do you charge extra for larger sizes in shirts? Or for youth shirts?

Prices vary depending on the style of shirt. Our standard charge for plus sizes is $3 more for 2XL, $4 for 3XL, $5 for 4XL, $6 for 5XL on top of the quote for small-XL.

There may be an additional cost for printing onto youth shirts if you would like the design to shrink for the smaller shirts. We would then make separate screens (one set for adult sizes, one set for youth) To be cost effective we try to print a “one size fits all” which makes the design around 10” depending on the smallest shirt. Every order is different and varies in sizes/design/ink colors, please email nextdaycustomtees@gmail.com for any questions on your order.

Please keep in mind we DO NOT have a youth pallet or a sleeve pallet for our DTG printer. In cases of youth XS and smaller sizes we will use a heat transfer for those shirts.

  • Can you print one shirt?

Yes, we can! We offer two options, heat transfer vinyl or Direct-To-Garment printing. Depending on the shirt style our vinyl department will decide which is best for you. We cannot DTG onto waterproof or pretreated shirts (ex: fishing/outdoors shirts). Please email ndctvinyl@gmail.com for any questions on DTG or vinyl printing.
